Galle, Sri Lanka
Flag Rock Bastion is one of the most scenic corners of Galle Fort, a UNESCO-listed coastal citadel in southern Sri Lanka. Built by the Portuguese and later strengthened by the Dutch, it once served as a defensive lookout over the Indian Ocean. Today, visitors come for its sea views, crashing waves, and especially its popular sunset vantage point. If you are exploring the fort, it is a worthwhile stop for a short walk, photos, and a sense of Galle’s maritime history.
