About Silver Pagoda

The Silver Pagoda, within Phnom Penh’s Royal Palace complex, is one of Cambodia’s most notable cultural and religious landmarks. Named for the thousands of silver tiles that cover its floor, it is best known for its collection of sacred treasures, including a gold Buddha set with diamonds and an emerald-colored Buddha statue. Unlike many temples, it serves more as a ceremonial site than an active monastery, which gives it a museum-like atmosphere. Visit if you’re interested in Khmer artistry, royal history, and Buddhist heritage in a compact, central setting.
