Blue Eye

Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër), near Sarandë, is one of southern Albania’s most striking natural sights. This deep freshwater spring is known for its vivid blue center, which resembles an eye, and for the clear, cold water that rises from underground. Surrounded by forest, it offers a peaceful stop for short walks, photos, and a break from the coast. While swimming is generally not allowed, the site is well suited to visitors interested in scenery, nature, and easy excursions inland from Sarandë.
